Ministry Feed is built around trust. This notice explains what information we collect, why we use it, who may have access to it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have.
When you create an account, we collect information needed to create and manage your membership, including your name, email address, username, birthdate or age-verification information, and the profile information you provide.
Profile information may include your ministry role, Church or ministry information, denomination, location, headline, biography, profile photo, interests, ministry context, and other information you choose to add to your profile.
When you use Ministry Feed, we also process the content and activity you create, such as posts, comments, prayer requests, praise reports, reactions, connections, messages, follows, invitations, and other interactions.
We may also process technical and usage information necessary to operate and secure Ministry Feed, including referral or campaign source, account and security activity, IP address, browser or user-agent information, and diagnostic information.
If you contact us for support, submit feedback, or make a privacy request, we process the information necessary to respond to you.
We do not sell your personal data.
We process personal data only when we have a lawful reason to do so.
We may rely on:
• Contractual necessity to create your account, provide Ministry Feed features, deliver service-related communications, and operate the community you asked to join.
• Legitimate interests to protect Ministry Feed from abuse, maintain security, moderate the community, understand how the service is being used, improve the platform, and protect members and FaithVenture Media, provided those interests do not override your rights.
• Legal obligations when we must retain, disclose, or otherwise process information to comply with applicable law.
• Consent when processing depends on a choice you make, such as certain public featuring, marketing communications, or processing for which GDPR specifically requires consent.
Where consent is the legal basis, you may withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before you withdrew your consent.
Because Ministry Feed is a Christian community, some information processed through the platform may reveal religious beliefs. Prayer requests may also contain information concerning health or other matters that GDPR treats as special-category personal data.
Where the GDPR requires an additional legal basis for this type of information, we process it only when an appropriate condition under Article 9 applies, such as your explicit consent or where you have deliberately made the information public.
You are never required to include medical details or other highly sensitive information in a prayer request simply to ask others to pray for you.
Please also avoid sharing another person private or sensitive information unless you have permission to do so.
Prayer requests can be deeply personal.
Depending on the feature, you may be able to share a prayer request under your name, anonymously to other members, or privately.
"Anonymous" means anonymous to other members. It does not mean anonymous to FaithVenture Media. Your account may remain associated with the request in our systems so that we can operate the feature, prevent abuse, provide support, and moderate the community when necessary.
Private prayer requests are not displayed to the general community. They may be accessible to you, authorized FaithVenture Media personnel when reasonably necessary, and the service providers that technically process the data on our behalf.
Direct messages are intended for the people participating in the conversation.
Other ordinary Ministry Feed members cannot read your private conversations. However, authorized FaithVenture Media personnel may access messages when reasonably necessary to investigate reports, enforce community standards, provide support, protect users, comply with law, or address security concerns.
Our infrastructure providers also technically process message data in order to operate the service.
Do not assume that Ministry Feed direct messages are end-to-end encrypted unless we expressly state otherwise.
Most member activity is intended for the authenticated Ministry Feed community, but some Ministry Feed content is publicly accessible.
Public areas may include selected media pages, organization pages, campaign or resource pages, editorial content, and other content specifically designed for public viewing. The current platform already contains several logged-out public experiences, while ordinary individual member profile pages remain within the authenticated experience.
Featured posts displayed publicly may be shown without identifying the author.
Other features, such as a public Member Spotlight or similar profile feature, may display your name, photograph, headline, story, or other profile information when you have agreed to that public featuring.
Before deliberately publishing identifiable member content outside the Ministry Feed community, we will use the permission or other lawful basis appropriate to that feature.
Ministry Feed may use automated tools to help identify possible spam, scams, abusive material, profanity, or other content that may violate our community standards.
Automated tools may flag, limit, or temporarily hold content for moderation. Authorized administrators may review flagged content and take appropriate action.
We do not currently use automated processing to make decisions about you that produce legal effects or similarly significant effects within the meaning of the GDPR.
We do not sell your information or provide member data to advertisers for their independent use.
We may provide personal data to service providers that help us operate Ministry Feed, including providers of application infrastructure, hosting, authentication, email delivery, security, moderation, analytics, and technical support.
Ministry Feed is currently built on Base44, which processes application data on our behalf as a service provider. Base44 current Data Processing Addendum describes it as a processor for customer application data and provides mechanisms for GDPR-regulated international transfers.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, protect the rights or safety of users, investigate fraud or abuse, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Some of the service providers used to operate Ministry Feed may process information outside Romania or the European Economic Area.
Where GDPR requires safeguards for an international transfer, we rely on an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism, which may include an adequacy decision, approved contractual safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses, or another mechanism permitted by applicable law.
We use technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect personal data from unauthorized access, misuse, alteration, disclosure, or loss.
These measures include account authentication, access controls, administrative restrictions, and security features provided by our infrastructure providers.
No online service can guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a personal-data breach, we will respond in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this notice.
Account and profile information is generally retained while your account is active. Content you delete may be removed from the active service, although copies may remain temporarily in backups, security records, moderation records, or systems operated by our processors.
We may retain certain consent records, privacy-request records, security logs, moderation records, or other information for longer when reasonably necessary to demonstrate compliance, investigate abuse, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, or meet legal obligations.
When information is no longer needed, we will delete or anonymize it where reasonably practicable and legally required.
You may request deletion of your personal data through the available privacy tools or by contacting us.
An account-deletion request may require manual processing with our platform provider. The in-app deletion of a profile should therefore not be understood as a guarantee that every authentication, backup, security, or compliance record has been immediately removed.
Where the right to erasure applies, we will erase or anonymize personal data within our control unless applicable law permits or requires us to retain particular information.
We may send in-app notifications and service-related emails about activity involving your account, such as replies, messages, security notices, prayer activity, account changes, or password resets.
Marketing emails will be sent only where permitted by applicable law. Where consent is required, we will ask for it, and you may withdraw that consent or unsubscribe at any time.
Ministry Feed is intended for adults 18 years of age or older, and the onboarding process requires age confirmation.
If we learn that personal data has been provided through the platform in violation of this age requirement, we may take appropriate steps to remove the account and associated information.
We may update this Privacy Notice as Ministry Feed develops, our service providers change, or applicable requirements change.
When we make a material change, we will update the "Last updated" date and provide additional notice when appropriate.
Subject to the conditions and exceptions in applicable law, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct inaccurate information, request erasure, restrict certain processing, receive qualifying information in a portable format, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority. Because FaithVenture Media is established in Romania, you may contact the Autoritatea Națională de Supraveghere a Prelucrării Datelor cu Caracter Personal (ANSPDCP).
You may exercise your rights through the privacy tools provided inside Ministry Feed or by contacting support@faithventuremedia.com. We will respond without undue delay and generally within one month. Where permitted by GDPR, that period may be extended by up to two additional months for complex or numerous requests, in which case we will tell you about the extension and the reason for it.
